- Notice client signal + session phase
- Notice my urge (advise / fill / rescue / lead / justify / why)
- If urge ≥ medium → Self-regulation first
- Else: reflect meaning (listen) → at most one stem — or none
- Silence — never stack · never justify the question
Marker IDs contribute evidence toward PCC behaviors when used skillfully in context — they never equal a pass. Assessors grade the whole conversation, not stem labels.
Session arc (PCC open → close)
Glance before the call. At close: pick any 2 learning/growth stems — not the full list.
Compact pocket default
Judgment under pressure: Core 3 + listen first + session agreement. Expand depth only if needed.
More muscles (depth · close library — optional)
Use one deepen move when the moment asks — not a tour of every card. Stems still only contribute toward markers.
Your Mx drill cards
Pocket = universal concepts. Drill cards = stems and rules from your Anup evaluations (M2, M3…). Open the active card before the next session.
How to use Softscaffold
Two layers
| Layer | What it is | When |
|---|---|---|
| Reference bible · decision flow · muscles · session arc | Before + during any session | |
| Mx drill card | Learning from one evaluated call (Anup AQs, avoid, stems) | Before next call · focus practice month |
Before a session (~3 min)
- Open Drill cards → active card (e.g. M3) → rules only.
- Pocket compact: session arc + Core (incl. Reflective Listening) + agreement.
- Remember close rule: pick any 2 growth stems.
- Leave compact Pocket open — do not expand depth unless needed.
During (~glance only)
- 15-second flow: urge → self-reg → reflect → one stem or none → silence.
- One compact card if stuck — not a script.
- Marker chips only contribute toward evidence — never chase a label.
After (with Anup)
Mentor evaluation replaces in-app logging. After mentoring, we fold new AQs into the next M(x+1) drill card. Pocket stays stable; drill cards evolve.
